OK , I have spent way to much time thinking about the upcoming plot of the new Saint movie. Even in the older stories Templar usually had a support network...or found one in his adventures. Various lovers , police in NY and sometimes London etc. Seems the producers writers have come up with another network...Knights of the Templar. A bit Masonic perhaps but in the world today networking is so natural to a younger audience that it may work for a variety of people. After all we would like The Saint to be successful in the marketplace. BE SEEING YOU.

Having read the synopsis I can't say I am really impressed. This update with the Saint is really something that does not rock my boat. It even makes the production more expensive than with the lone advemturerer.
I always got my books and old series and hope that one we'll get the Saint in the thirties.
Lets hope they'll release the b/w movies soon.

I agree with Mark,
Its about time The Saint got back to his roots. I would dearly love to see a series with a cast including a British Patricia, teal, Monty, Roger Etc. an American Hoppy and of course the great cream and red Hirondel. Set in the thirties preferably, but could be set now,in my opinion the Saint lost his element of "Saintliness" when he moved abroad. The Saint's a Brit (I'm not) and must stay one. James Purfoy fits the bill

I would like to see some sort of list or review of the restaurants and bars frequented by the Saint, particularly in England.

Has any come across such a list? I know it would take some effort to compile one, but someone may have already done so.

The Saint often (ad)ventured around Maidenhead and other W of London places and visited actual restaurants around there, sometimes frequently, many of which still operate. I live in Reading and often take pride in visiting and pointing out Saintly restaurants, such as the Compleat Angler in Marlow, Ye Olde Bell at Hurley and Skindles (now gone :() in Maidenhead.

I have a lots of notes on the Saint's dining habits but many of them have been used in the biography and I might just make use of the rest in The Saint's Cookbook, which I really ought to finish one of these days.
